    holy shit.

i think that estimate inspires a major stroke
any chance you can put the bike on a railroad car? it would be SO much cheaper than Uhaul. and you could rent a vehicle if you still have the heart (or time) to do some tourism, or you could just put your bike on a train and catch a flight home. let me know if you want me to look into any of those options

that which does not kill you may make you stronger, but ‘broke-er’ too…

Teh intarwebs suggest that x-country shipping a bike prices in the $300-$400 range. You’d have to get an individual quote to be certain.

Not that it helps you right this moment, but can the Tigard BMW where you got the oil and tires be held responsible for any of this? Seems a bit peculiar that you have them fucking with your bike and end up with catastrophic shit soon after. Just a thought.

    Woof. Scratch that. This site

says it’s $400-$800 to ship. Any chance you could just rent a trailer-worthy vehicle and buy a tow trailer like the one in the above website? That might be the cheapest option of all.

Thanks for checkin, but I already have the u-haul reserved, and I figure it’ll get us both home with similar hassle.. Plus the bike rear wheel is fused so moving it around is pretty hard..
